Services
The Gynecology and Senology Operational Unit is made up of specialized doctors focussed on a conventional and invasive diagnosis, medical-pharmacological management and surgical treatment of female reproductive system diseases. The combination of the gynecology and senology disciplines demonstrates the team’s true strong point which distinguishes itself for its ability to understand and manage the biological and pathogenic complexity of the various issues tied to women’s health in all its uniqueness. Specifically, the team works in close collaboration with a specialist in Plastic Surgery in order to treat women affected by gynecological and breast cancer, in addition to congenital diseases of a system, by planning diagnostic analysis or minimally invasive outpatient services as well as surgical treatments within specific medical procedures. Diseases Treated and Services
- Base diagnosis and a highly complex instrumental analysis (invasive diagnostic procedures under ultrasound, colposcopic and endoscopic guidance) incorporated with highly technological procedures of radiological diagnosis
- Gynecologic oncology surgery which is supported in the operating room by integrated display technology with 3D/4K vision and by infrared cameras in order to search for the sentinel lymph node under the fluorescent indocyanine green tracer guidance
- Gynecologic surgery to treat benign diseases (such as polyps, fibromas, benign ovarian formations and endometriosis) through a minimally invasive endoscopic and laparoscopic approach and high tech support
- Senologic and oncoplastic breast surgery supported by magnetically guided technology in order to locate small injuries and by a fluorescent tracer to search for the sentinel lymph node
- Plastic reconstruction through implants, adipose tissue grafts or flaps
